Martin Wenzel's latest creation is not only a whopper of a type family but it is quite clever too. Each font contains two sets of alternative, stylistic letterforms. Martin calls them Humanist and Grotesk. The two distinct and familiar flavors of typographic tradition are integrated into a single font by adding a number of alternate glyphs.

Martin calls them Humanist and Grotesk. The two distinct and familiar flavors of typographic tradition are integrated into a single font by adding a number of alternate glyphs.
The three widths go by the names Narrow, Normal and Wide. Together with the eight weights the Realist covers a lot of ground. From Thin to Black the fine steps between optical weights make real expert typography intuitive. Wether the designer has to visualize many levels of information or adjust for a backlight situation, the Realist family offers the necessary swatch of styles.
With a range of eight optical weights the Realist is offering as much subtle variation as one can ask for while covering a lot of ground. The eight styles include everything from a virtual hairline font to the fattest, boldest font without ever becoming impractical. See more specimens in our catalog section.
